Where to start? I want to save for retirement?

I want to start saving now for retirement but i have no clue on what type to chose. I hear of Roth IRA, Mutual Fund, I am confused with all this. I just want to set aside a couple hundred dollars a month and make them grow if possible that way when i am 60 i can retire and live comfortably. What should I do? Where should I start?
