Seriously asking ...it is correct or not ............?

its very sad . also what teacher done is not justifiable , a duty of teacher is not only educating but also moulding a student character , making him a good citizen. but its sad thing is that they don't realize this . im not saying being strict is wrong rather it should not affect the student prestige , there are many other things you can do instead of beating , like giving impositions etc . nowadays students are having high emotional quotient(EQ) . they doesn't like to be punished in front of many , its affect them mentally . so knowing the students mind teachers should act according to that , then only teaher-student relationship will be smooth . so lastly what teacher done was entirely wrong , and she deserve that punishment given by school management , i think after this that teacher wil change her attitude. but chances of getting same teacher job is rare .
